Spring Mulching Tips
Edge your flower beds first if it is needed
Always weed before putting mulch down
Rake the surface area to help with watering
2 to 3 inches is recommended for your mulch application

Early Fall
start cleaning out planting beds
plant spring bulbs
thatch or aerate the lawn / over seed
apply lawn fertilizer to established lawns
prune hedges
apply a layer of mulch to any perennials
Late Fall
Rake up fallen leaves for compost
Plant shrubs, trees, roses & hedges
Trim any late-flowering shrubs
The more you do now the less there will be to do in the spring!
